Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a form of Japanese massage therapy which
stimulates the body’s natural healing ability. It helps to
rebalance the flow of energy through the body using touch
(pressure points, joint rotations and stretches)
Shiatsu is based on the philosophy that vital energy (Ki)
flows throughout the body in a series of channels known as
meridians. For many reasons Ki can stop flowing freely and
this then produces a symptom. As treatment progresses
the symptoms associated with the lack of flow of Ki will
gradually improve.
Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing experience; it is received fully
clothed and usually takes place on a padded mat on the
floor but can be received seated on a chair if the client is
unable to lie down.
Please wear loose comfortable clothing and socks, and do
not eat heavily nor drink alcohol in the two hours before
treatment.
Each session lasts an hour.
